Dublin

Known as the ‘Emerald Isle’ Ireland is one of Europe’s gems that offers picture postcard villages, stunning scenery of lakes, mountains and seas and wind-lashed wilderness, legends and myths – making it one of the most interesting and unique destinations in Europe. Its lively capital Dublin is a great party town as well as being a historic city that can trace its origins back 1,000 years. From a small Viking settlement it has evolved into one of the most vibrant capitals in the world. A city rich in cultural heritage, by walking the streets there are many reminders of the past such as the illuminated Book of Kells dating from 800 AD to the splendid Georgian architecture, magnificent castles and fine cathedrals. And Guinness lovers can enjoy drinking a pint of the ‘black stuff’ in the place it is made and a tour of Dublin’s Guinness Storehouse for a full on history of the brew.
